Characterization of Discarded Lead–Zinc Sulfide Ore Tailings Based on Mineral Fragments

The lead–zinc ore is a typical low-grade complex polymetallic sulphide ore. Its mineralogy characterized by high content of cryptocrystalline graphite, low lead, zinc, and copper, fine grain size. However, the aggregation size sulfide mineral aggregations coarse, symbiotic relationship relatively simple. Conventional process treatment requires grinding into monomer dissociations followed preferential flotation, but this method has poor sorting index production cost. In paper, aggregates determined mineralogical studies used to determine fineness grinding, so that liberation degree in coarse product reaches 70%, each flotation collect rough concentrate. first step carbon was removed adding #2 oil tank at dosage 40 g/t. second process, pH adjusted 7.2, isopropyl xanthate 20 g/t, 30 g/t; reagent third xanthate, 7.5 with 15 Each concentrate collected. Finally, grades lead zinc final were 1.6% 5.71%, respectively. addition, recoveries 91.78% 92.07%, yield tailings 50.6%. By aggregates, large number gangues are avoided participate which helps reduce energy consumption mill.
